Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The situation in Malawi is different to much of the world at the moment, but we cannot be sure what the future holds. We hope that quick intervention with the closure of our borders has helped and that it won’t be long before we can welcome travelers back to The Warm Heart of Africa.
For local clients: we remain open for weekends, with stringent cleaning and sanitizing processes in place, following strict protocols. We are doing all we can to look after our team and ensure that our lodge can continue to provide employment. We continue to review the situation daily. Midweek bookings may be possible in advance, for small groups and long stays.
For international travelers: wherever you are in the world, thank you for visiting our website and planning future travels! Like you – we remain optimistic that international travel will return. We have implemented more flexible bookings to allow for easier cancellations if you are unable to travel on your intended dates due to COVID-19, but we do encourage guests to postpone rather than cancel. We plan to come out of this with a better product than before. During quiet times we are focusing on maintenance and development.
